The Colombe Foundation generally makes grants twice a year, in the spring and fall.
Spring 2008 Deadline: Monday, March 24, 2008
Fall 2008 Deadline: Monday, October 13, 2008
Colombe Foundation wants its grantmaking process to be easy for prospective grantees and to that end has few requirements. Colombe Foundation requires that you complete a standard cover sheet and include the following components of a proposal:
- A description of your organization and its accomplishments, including a list of staff and board;
- A description of the project for which you seek funding;
- An organizational and project budget for the year for which funding is sought;
Spring proposals should include 2008 budget and fall proposals should include 2009 budget - A list of foundations or funders and contribution amounts you have secured towards your budget;
- A list of foundations or funders and contribution amounts that are pending or that you plan to pursue;
- A copy of your organization's IRS determination letter indicating your status as a §501(c)(3) organization; and
- If you have been funded before by the Colombe Foundation, a report on how the last grant was used.
Proposals must be received via email. Please email your proposal to the Grants Manager at grantsmanager@proteusfund.org and Dini Merz, Program Director at dmerz@proteusfund.org. Please mail two (2) hard copies of documents that can not be emailed to:
