Security & Rights Collaborative Announces 2010 Grant Awards
Amherst, MA--The Security & Rights Collaborative announces 2010 grant awards. $1.7 million in grants have been awarded to 23 organizations working to restore the balance between national security and the rights and liberties of a civil, just society. Grant awards supported work to build a collaborative communications infrastructure for the human rights and civil liberties field, capacity building for organizations working with Muslim, Arab and South Asian constituencies, a new leadership development initiative to strengthen connections and build collaborative relationships among leaders and a rapid response grant making program supported timely responses to emerging opportunities or threats.
