Nic Campbell is Co-CEO and President of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), a social justice nonprofit organization whose mission is to fundamentally shift how philanthropic resources flow and who they center. In this role, she supports teams to help philanthropists, collaboratives, and nonprofits design executive strategies and structures to achieve impact. With more than two decades of legal, governance, and operational experience, Nic has advised leaders and boards
across the globe on grantmaking, organizational design, and governance. She is also the founder of the Build Up Companies, a federated group dedicated to strengthening the capacity of systems change grantmakers to transform outcomes for vulnerable and historically marginalized communities worldwide. Prior to RPA, Nic served in senior roles at Dalio Philanthropies, Open Society Foundations, and The New York Community Trust, and began her career as a tax attorney.
She holds a B.S. from MIT, a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from NYU School of Law, as well as a Certification in Executive Leadership from INSEAD.

Rick Scott is retired. He most recently was the VP of Finance & Compliance at the McKnight Foundation in Minnesota. He oversaw several complex areas, including finance, investments, and legal compliance through periods of significant economic and leadership transitions. Among his accomplishments, he worked closely with McKnight’s president and board of directors to establish the first impact investing program at McKnight. Rick also led the Foundation’s early efforts to leverage its role as an institutional investor and deploy more of its investments to advance its mission.

Before joining McKnight in 1999, Scott was chief financial o*icer of the Guthrie Theater and a large human services agency after spending 13 years working in the computer industry. His undergraduate and graduate studies were in international economics, supplemented with language studies in Spanish, Russian, German, Italian and French. Desiree Flores (she/her) brings 20 years of social justice grant making and program development experience funding social justice movement building at the local, state, and national levels. She was previously the Program Director of U.S. Social Justice at the Arcus Foundation, a global LGBTQ philanthropy, supporting policy and culture change determined by LGBTQ people pushed to the margins. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of Board A*airs at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and as a longtime program o*icer at the Ms. Foundation for Women supporting more powerful gender and racial justice movements. Desiree earned a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a master’s in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Tammy is the Founder and CEO of Tammy Dowley-Blackman Group LLC and Cooper + Lowe, LLC. In addition to more than two decades as an entrepreneur, Tammy’s career includes senior leadership tenures as Executive Director and Chief Development Officer for affiliates of two large national nonprofits. She has directed national partnerships as a higher education leader and spent nearly a decade leading the nationally recognized Diversity Fellowship, which focused on building and training an expanded talent pipeline for the philanthropic sector. In addition, Tammy taught Nonprofit Management at Cambridge College and Lesley University and served as a Senior Fellow with the Boston University School of Management’s Institute for Nonprofit Management and Leadership.

Tammy’s volunteer leadership includes six years as Board President of TSNE, a $75 million mid-cap nonprofit and one of the largest fiscal sponsor organizations in the United States. She has also served on the boards of the Directors Development Initiative (DDI) at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Habitot Children’s Museum, and Social Capital, Inc. She currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and on the Board of Directors for the Proteus Fund.

She founded the first organization on the East Coast working with battered immigrant Asian women in the early days of this new national movement. She managed a portfolio of programs including 8 shelters, 4 citywide 24-hour hotlines, and one of the largest batterer intervention programs and anti-trafficking programs in the country. In philanthropy, at the Ms. Foundation for Women, Pat innovated grantmaking strategy in several areas including early support for men’s efforts to address violent masculinity and supporting the emerging movement to prevent child sexual abuse. At the New York Women’s Foundation, she launched and managed the NYC Fund for Girls and Young Women of Color, the first collaborative fund in the country focused on young women and gender non-binary youth of color.

DeAnna R. Hoskins is President and CEO of JustLeadershipUSA (JLUSA), a national nonprofit dedicated to reducing incarceration and advancing economic mobility through the leadership of people with lived experience. She is widely recognized as a national systems leader working at the intersection of criminal justice, public health, workforce development, and policy innovation. Throughout her career, she has helped shape local, state, and federal policy, advised government agencies, and built cross-sector partnerships that improve outcomes for individuals and communities.

Hoskins most recently served as a White House Fellow, where she was assigned as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Army. In that role, she supported initiatives focused on quality of life, suicide prevention, leadership development, and military personnel policy while advancing efforts to improve fairness, accountability, and systems transformation. Her leadership spans executive nonprofit management, federal service, public policy, organizational strategy, and
implementation science. She currently serves on multiple national advisory and governing boards, bringing a unique perspective that combines executive leadership, policy expertise, and firsthand understanding of the systems she works to improve.

Chisun Lee generates creative solutions to complex challenges in mission strategy and organizational effectiveness, leading collaborations with the rigor to surface pivotal questions and the insight to empower diverse groups of people to solve them. Her agility as a leader reflects 20 years of experience driving impact across multiple disciplines: nonprofit executive management, policy and narrative change, investigative journalism, law practice, and philanthropic strategy.

Currently she serves as the inaugural Chief Innovation Officer for the Brennan Center for Justice, a national nonpartisan law and policy institute. She fosters new ideas to solve fundamental problems of American democracy. In an earlier role, she collaboratively built and led a 25-person program to expand opportunity in the democratic process. She has authored research publications, media commentary, and book chapters. She has advised lawmakers at every level of government and taught public policy at NYU School of Law.

Previously, Chisun covered law, government, and culture as a reporter for ProPublica and for the original Village Voice, winning numerous awards. Early in her career, she led media relations for a citywide elected official in New York City. She holds degrees from Harvard Law School, Yale Law School, and Brown University. Along with service on the Proteus Fund Board, Chisun advises and supports numerous civic organizations, including as a member of Leadership Now Project, a network of business and civic leaders, and as a director on the board of the New York Women’s Foundation.

As the Co-Senior Director of Consulting at Justice Funders, Crys partners with philanthropic institutions to align their grantmaking, governance, and investments with the values of a Just Transition — redistributing wealth, democratizing power, and shifting economic control to communities.

Crys most recently served as Executive Director of Chinook Fund, a Colorado-based social justice fund, where they launched the Another World is Possible Fund in collaboration with movement leaders. They served as Board Co-Chair of Resource Generation, a national membership based organization mobilizing young people with wealth and class privilege in the U.S. to become transformative leaders working towards the equitable distribution of wealth, land and power. Crys previously held leadership roles with the Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training, Survivors Organizing for Liberation, and the National Giving Project Network.

Risa Jaz Rifkind is a justice advocate who seeks to make change by shifting access to power and influence. As Chief Strategy Officer for Disability Lead, she advances the organization's growth nationally to realize its vision to have people with disabilities lead with power, influence, and authenticity. By identifying and developing strategic partnerships, Risa positions Members to take on leadership roles that advance their careers, civic engagement, and equity for people with
disabilities. By integrating this vision into all programs and communications, she aligns Disability Lead’s brand awareness, public and private Member programming, and community engagement and outreach across chapters. She is also a Disability Lead Member.

Outside of Disability Lead, Risa is involved in various leadership roles. In 2023, she joined the Board of Directors for Proteus Fund. In 2022, she was appointed to the National Council on Disability by President Biden. In 2020, Risa participated on the Disability Inclusion Fund’s grantmaking committee. Previously, Risa was Program Manager at The Chicago Community Trust where she developed their disability inclusion priorities and practices and managed several disability inclusion initiatives including the Disabilities Fund, ADA 25 Advancing Leadership, and ADA 25 Chicago.

She has consulted for organizations to increase their disability inclusion including the University of Indiana Kelley School of Business, Institute for Nonprofit Professionals, Proteus Fund, and has spoken at conferences including the Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability, Unity Summit, and Upswell Conference. Risa is passionate about the arts and serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Cultural Accessibility Consortium as Vice President. Risa received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.

Maria Teresa is a senior executive with extensive experience building institutions, developing programs, and implementing grantmaking strategies. She recently concluded a long career with the Open Society Foundations, where she was the founder and director of the International Migration Initiative. Prior to that, she served in the Open Society-U.S. program as Associate Director for Grantmaking and Program Development, Deputy Director for the Justice Fund, and Associate
Director for Communications. In the latter years of her work at OSF she focused on developing work in the Caribbean on climate displacement.

She is now working as a consultant advising a family foundation on strategic project investments and scaling impact. In her earlier career, Maria Teresa worked as a journalist, filmmaker, and television producer. She built a cable television network for the City of New York that instituted unprecedented television coverage of local government proceedings. In addition to the Proteus Fund, she is a member of the board of directors at Futuro Media and Ayiti Demen-Haiti Tomorrow. She has lived most of her life in the United States and has traveled extensively on all seven continents.
