The official engagement of the Solidarity Collaborative’s inaugural cohort is coming to an end, but the relationships that the nine social justice leaders in the cohort have forged will continue to grow over time. Each leader is developing an action-oriented solidarity project, applying what they’ve learned from each other and through their shared experience.
The next cohort conversation features Dom Kelly, president and CEO of New Disabled South, and Loidymar Duprey González, co-founder and program manager of La Tejedora, a project of The Action Lab. Dom’s organization is focused on fighting for disability rights and disability justice in 14 states, and Loidymar’s organization supports young Puerto Rican organizers in organizing and building power to improve quality of life on the archipelago. Dom and Loidymar talked about opportunities and challenges related to their work, as well as how they now approach creating actionable solidarity.
